Instructions
- Sanitize all equipment.
- Warm 1/2 gallon water to ~100°F and dissolve 1.5 lbs of acacia honey.
- Top up to 1 gallon. Take OG (~1.057).
- Pitch 71B at 65-75°F. Add nutrient at 24h and 48h only.
- Primary ferment 2-3 weeks (faster than full-strength mead).
- Rack and cold-crash for 1 week to clear.
- Bottle. Ready to drink at 6-8 weeks total. Best served chilled.
- Optional: lightly carbonate by priming with 1/2 oz corn sugar before bottling for a sparkling session mead.
